Malcolm, of Counsel, joins STLG after recently working for Sawyer Law Group in Palo Alto and Haverstock & Owens in Sunnyvale. Malcolm previously was practicing as a patent attorney for the Vista IP Law Group in Orange County. Malcolm worked as a systems engineer before going to law school in San Diego. As a system engineer he worked in telecommunications hardware engineering, broadband networking and RF communications technologies.
Malcolm’s experience includes preparing and prosecuting patent applications in technical areas including computer hardware and software, integrated circuits, semiconductors, networking, databases and telecommunications. He also prepares patent infringement and validity opinions and prosecutes trademark applications. Malcolm’s experience includes working directly with clients in fostering close relationships and in identifying patentable subject matter.
Malcolm received his Juris Doctorate from Thomas Jefferson School of Law in 2003. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from the University of Maryland (1991).
Malcolm is a member of the state bar of California and is admitted to practice before the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office.
